Here is my Rankability Review. I will keep it short and simple. At the end of 2023, I enrolled in Gotch SEO Academy. This is where I saw this rankability.com tool created by Nathan Gotch and Simon L. Smith. Now I am testing it to see if it is any good.
Rankability is a web application software that extracts your competitors’ topics using IBM Watson NLP and NLU. It is designed for agencies to create SEO-optimised content that ranks in Google.

- Uses Google own API to extract NLP which means it likely the same that Google Algorithm uses to grade your content.
- Immediate Positive Google Rankings so after optimizing content with suggested keywords, my page saw a rank improved by 50 positions overnight.
Case Study: Of Using Rankability SEO Tool
One of my client runs a construction company and his website wasn’t doing good. Fixed Technical. Nothing. Built links nothing. Built more content. Still nothing. So I thought this website is a great candidate to use Rankability SEO tool to see if it will do the job and improve the rankings.
I went straight to the Rankability Content Optimizer editor, where I copied/pasted the existing content. It turns out their scoring system graded my current content at 9, so naturally, I incorporated some of their suggested NLP keywords. Now, the new score is 30. Then, I went ahead and submitted the page to Google. The next day, boom ranking position increased by 50 positions.
After 17 days, the ranking has remained stable, indicating the tool’s effectiveness. Continuous monitoring will determine long-term value, but initial results are promising.

I had this company doing OK but not great. It sits at the bottom of the first page. It a big deal to the client as it one of his main keyword. The metrics for this keyword are:
It a service page and it was already optimised hence it sit on the first page. It just needed some push.
Some years ago this page was optimised with Surfer SEO. Though it needed some new love. Using Rankability app I found topics ( entities ) that the service page was missing. Briefly covered each new topic. And this is what happened. Tell me if you can see anything.

On 26 May 2024 I am testing if this tool is still as good as the first case study. A scaffolding company service page is not doing great. Their Rankability scores it at 13.

I went on to incorporated new topics aka NLP keywords. It took me a days work and the new score is 78 🙌.
Here are current rankings. Pretty bad. Let wait and see how Google react to new changes. Edit: July 2024. Nothing much has changed. Turn out Google doesn’t really like the page. There are some other issues that probably is causing it.
